20 Pridnestrovians go to Orlyonok centre

They will spend there 21 days, full of excursions, contests and entertainments

Tiraspol, 8 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A delegation of young Pridnestrovians is taking part in the 12th shift of the Zvyozdniy Camp of the All-Russia Children's Centre Orlyonok.

The delegation comprises 20 winners of Russian Patriot and Young Patriot of Pridnestrovie contests held by the Dniester-Prut centre of the RISS from January to May 2016, says the centre's press release.

Activists of the Zvezda youth movement, who came to see the kids off, wished them to decently represent the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

«Such trips is an opportunity to meet and make friends with their counterparts from Russia, to tell them about our republic. It is necessary to further strengthen and develop such ties," said the chair of the Zvezda movement, Svetlana Molake.

The kids will spend 21 days in the camp — from 7 to 27 November. They will take part in fascinating excursions, various contests and entertaining programmes. Special attention will be given to learning.

«Last year Pridnestrovian kids gave excellent account of themselves. For example, the honourable mission of raising the national flag of Russia at the opening ceremony in 2015 was granted to the Pridnestrovians. We hope this trip and communication with Russian kids will allow Pridnestrovian children to feel themselves part of the common Russian world and serve as a stimulus to further develop their creative talents," said the head of scientific programmes of the Dniester-Prut Centre, Georgy Menyailo.
