During the government's meeting, which took place on 25 June, a decision was taken to provide the government assistance to Bendery's sewing firm Vestra in the form of reducing its revenue tax liability by 50% until 2016.
«We are very glad to have come to understanding on this issue. Of course, we won't be able to find the way out of this situation and make up leeway in a short space of time, but within two or three months we will be able to work at a normal pace to stabilise the situation," noted Tamara Poloz in this respect.
Speaking about the decisions to provide governmental assistance to domestic manufacturers, Tatyana Turanskaya said that today due to the difficult socio-economic situation and negative influence of external factors on our economy the government is constantly monitoring the performance of each enterprise in Pridnestrovie. The results of this analysis form the basis of government measures taken for a rapid response.
At the moment Vestra's labour collective consist of about 460 employees. The workers, as well as all Pridnestrovians, are worried by the current socio-economic situation, effects from the blockade imposed by the neighbours, problems of housing and communal service. Tatyana Turanskaya clarified the current situation and factors affecting revenues at all budget levels. She also noted that the republic has been resisting pressure for 25 years, combating problems regardless of anything.
There was separate talk about the financing of salaries and pensions in the sum of 70% of accrued amounts. «This is a coercive measure which was taken on the basis of actual revenues of the state budget under current circumstances. When taking this decision, the government faced the choice: either to withhold salaries in full for an indefinite term or to finance these payments monthly, but in part. It is important to remember that the budget must monthly finance such social items as food, medicines, provision of ambulance stations," the prime minister noted in her speech.
Nikolay Gliga told Vestra's collective about the current work of the state administration, highlighting intensive road repairs in the city.
It is recalled that Bendery's sewing firm Vestra has worked for about 70 years, having gone a very complex path of development. Today the factory employs 15 production lines. Its product family is presented with a wide range of women's and men's wear.
