"There are no signs of the situation aggravation, preparation for military action", Oleg Belyakov reported to Vadim Krasnoselsky

Vadim Krasnoselsky held a working meeting with the JCC co-chair from Pridnestrovie. Oleg Belyakov informed about the situation in the Security Zone, assessing it as controlled and manageable, and about the work of peacekeeping institutions – the JCC and the JMC. The Joint Control Commission activities have been unblocked and are currently carried out in a routine manner, according to the speaker. Meetings are held regularly. Representatives of the parties – Pridnestrovie, Moldova, Russia and observers from Ukraine and the OSCE – participate. Oleg Belyakov noted the focus of all delegations on the effectiveness of meetings and the search for solutions. The meeting almost always results in the signing of joint protocols.

The discussion of a large package of issues has been unfrozen. Among other things – the functioning of expert (working) groups on law enforcement activities and the work of checking points in the Security Zone. Oleg Belyakov recalled that these working groups were created in 2006. A meeting was held during which certain agreements were reached the week before. As for the checking points, they are fully staffed and technically equipped. An inspection tour was recently held.

"There are no signs of the situation aggravation, preparation for military action", Oleg Belyakov stated.

Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of peacekeeping mechanisms, aiming to continue their work to maintain peace. The President focused on the activities of expert (working) groups in the law enforcement sphere, emphasizing that the interaction of the Pridnestrovian militia and the Moldovan police in this area should not be politicized. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled the 1999 agreements and the Moldovan side's withdrawal from them and emphasized that Pridnestrovie as before is ready for cooperation.
