The Pridnestrovian delegation appealed to the JCC regarding the incident at the peacekeeping post

Bendery, October 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Pridnestrovian delegation to the Joint Control Commission proposed to request information from the law enforcement agencies of Moldova on the results of the investigation of the incident at the peacekeeping post, which occurred on September 25. In addition, according to the Pridnestrovian delegation, the Joint Military Command needs to conduct an analysis of the incident with the personnel of the peacekeeping posts and consider the issue of installing posters at the entrances to the posts of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces reminding about the ban on photography and video filming.

Recall that on September 25, a car crossed No. 9 post of the Peacekeeping Forces at low speed, the passengers of which were openly filming using their mobile phones in a pointed manner, despite the current ban. The peacekeepers did not stop this car, so it crossed this post again.

"This citizen provoked the peacekeepers, he was determined to create some kind of scandal," the head of the Pridnestrovian delegation Oleg Belyakov emphasized, commenting on the results of the JCC meeting held in Bendery. "First he drove in one direction, no one paid attention to him, then in the other. You do remember his message, don’t you: "I'll show you how to cross peacekeeping posts." This time, the peacekeepers stopped the provocateurs and demanded that they stop filming. The driver and passengers behaved provocatively, insulted the peacekeepers while filming it all. The incident was closed with the arrival of the police, to whom the peacekeepers handed over the detainees. However, the filming made by the provocateurs at the peacekeeping post was posted on social networks, and the incident received coverage in various media. The appeal of the Pridnestrovian delegation raises the question of why the detainees saved the video filmed at the peacekeeping post.

"This post is a military facility and is subject to certain security rules," the head of the Pridnestrovian delegation noted. "The servicemen who serve at this post have the appropriate powers and responsibilities. I would like to emphasize once again that taking photos and videos is prohibited at the posts; they are part of the Peacekeeping Forces and are subject to the rules established by the Joint Control Commission."

At today's meeting, the Co-Chairman of the JCC from Moldova, Sergey Golovach, referred to the fact that the Moldovan police simply had no legal grounds to demand that a citizen delete a video recording, and again raised the issue that the instructions that the peacekeepers are guided by are outdated. The Pridnestrovian side does not share this point of view.

"We understand perfectly well that in the current conditions it is necessary to implement what works," Oleg Belyakov emphasized. "What was agreed upon by all parties within the framework of the Joint Control Commission, which did not give reasons for complicating the situation at these posts."
