Tiraspol, January 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the reaction of the international participants of the “5+2” format to the economic pressure of Moldova is still absent.
“We expect from international representatives in the negotiation process specific political and diplomatic actions aimed both at restoring justice and ensuring the principles of the negotiation process, and, first of all, at protecting the rights and interests of residents of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic,” Vadim Krasnoselsky said in an interview with RIA Novosti "
The President of the PMR noted: due to Moldova’s negative approach, there are more challenges that threaten regional stability and security. But rational approaches must prevail, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized.
“Promoting normalization of the situation is the direct responsibility of the OSCE mission, and we count on more active steps of this mediator,” the President of the PMR said, noting that everyone will benefit from the resumption of normal dialogue.
Let us remind you that in January of this year, Moldova began to collect compulsorily customs duties on goods imported by business entities of Pridnestrovie. For them, this means paying double payments: to the PMR budget and to the budget of Moldova. According to preliminary estimates, Pridnestrovie's losses will amount to tens of millions of dollars a year.
