The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being, better known as Rospotrebnadzor functions under the Government of the Russian Federation. The functions of the service among other functions include development and approval of state sanitary and epidemiological rules and hygienic standards, as well as supervision of their implementation. Rospotrebnadzor in the pandemic is actively involved in anticoronavirus activities. Representatives of Rospotrebnadzor are now in Pridnestrovie. A working visit will last about a week. Its purpose is to assess the state of affairs in the republic and effectiveness of measures taken in the framework of the fight against COVID-19, to provide advisory assistance.
Russian epidemiologists have already visited several sites. They communicated with Pridnestrovian colleagues. At the moment, the delegation is at the presidential executive office. In compliance with security measures, Vadim Krasnoselsky received in the meeting room the Head of the Clinical Research Department of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology, Federal Clinical Research Center Tatyana Ruzhentsova and the Head of the Federal Public Health Institution “Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute ”Mikrob” Tatyana Krasovskaya. The President noted that the attention and support of Russian specialists is extremely important for Pridnestrovians. The President spoke about the importance of sharing experience in the new environment for the world community to combat the little-studied virus.
Taking into consideration that the familiarization part of the visit to the republic has already taken place, the Russian guests spoke about their first impressions. They are quite positive. Tatyana Ruzhentsova noted the high level of disinfection measures, as well as good quality of medical staff. Tatyana Krasovskaya, in turn, emphasized the pronounced interest of doctors and other workers involved in anticoronavirus practice in the effectiveness of their dedicated work.
During the working discussion, the meeting participants exchanged views, recommendations and suggestions. The work of representatives of Rospotrebnadzor in Pridnestrovie continues. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the interlocutors for their attention to the republic and their socially significant activities, assuring that the Pridnestrovian leadership is open for dialogue, the purpose of which is to improve the mechanism for combating a new type of virus.
