Meeting of the President with the leadership of "The Heirs of Victories" public organization was held in the presidential office. This large youth-patriotic movement began with the activities of the military-patriotic club. The initiator of its creation and the leader is the deputy of the Supreme Council Igor Buga. He and his colleagues Rodion Romanov and Alexander Antropov told today Vadim Krasnoselsky about the achievements, current work and plans.
The President mentioned that there was an important day for the descendants of the generation of victors the day before: December 3 is listed in the calendar of memorable dates as the Day of the Unknown Soldier. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that there are still many who have not returned from battle according to documents – missing participants of the Great Patriotic War, despite the eight decades that have passed since the Great Patriotic War. The task of grateful descendants is to list the names and bury the remains of each fallen soldier, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized.
The interlocutors of the President spoke about the work being carried out in this area, research, and finds. They talked about dugouts, trenches, and sanitary burials that are being discovered, including on the Dniester coastline near the village of Mereneshty. They informed about interaction with fellow searchers from other countries. They reported on events held under the auspices of the movement, including four hundred exhibitions organized in the republic's schools.
Preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 35th anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic were discussed. Some details of organizing a large-scale military-historical festival were discussed. A staged reconstruction and various exhibitions are expected. In addition, there is an idea to organize a field expedition for young people. The plans include a three-month workshop, during which young people will be able to participate in real search activities and thereby become involved in history and its preservation.
Vadim Krasnoselsky listened to the report, outlined his vision, and gave a number of recommendations. He emphasized the importance of the search and educational activities of “The Heirs of Victories” movement, expressed gratitude for their concern and activity, and aimed at further fruitful work.
