Heads of state administrations of towns and districts in the course of the video conference informed the President about the events dedicated to the Republic Day. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to everyone involved in this work, emphasizing the high level of organization and diversity of programs.
The leaders reported on progress in the capital investment program implementation at the local level and outlined their immediate plans. The commissioning of many facilities was timed to coincide with the main state holiday and the beginning of the school year. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled the importance of careful treatment of the updated infrastructure and raised the issue of servicing and maintaining public spaces that require constant attention, financial and labor costs. They mentioned the need to allocate additional funds to Tiraspol for the city to perform its capital functions. The Capital program, financed from the republican budget, should operate in practice, and not just be on paper, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized. Oleg Dovgopol noted that the city not only spends, but also earns: the revenue plan has already been exceeded by 40 million rubles. Road works were also discussed. Oleg Dovgopol recalled that Tiraspol has abandoned the practice of replacing the road surface without updating utilities. The city has a negative experience from the early 2000s, when one of the main and most problematic Karl Liebknecht Street was completely repaired, and they began to replace the asphalt pavement due to constant pipe breaks then. The road again turned into a patchwork quilt and a source of endless complaints from citizens as a result. The next major repairs were carried out with the preliminary replacement of all utility lines. All road works in the city are carried out according to this principle now. The largest object in the works is Pokrovskaya Street at the moment. The emergency-worn pipes, laid in the late 50s – early 60s of the last century, were replaced and only then they began laying the asphalt. The city's storm sewer network is also successfully coping with the task, the head of the capital reported. There are still many questions about storm drains in Bendery. The reconstruction program is designed for three years, recalled Roman Ivanchenko.
The problem of unauthorized dumps was discussed at the meeting. The President ordered to conduct raids throughout the republic. It was noted that storing garbage in unauthorized places leads to fires among other things. The beginning of September was marked by almost fifty fires.
Another topic that was touched upon by the participants of the video conference was landscaping. Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded that the season of planting green spaces will continue until the end of autumn. The optimal crops for our settlements are conifers and roses. The President ordered to conduct an audit of birch plantations along the road leading from Tiraspol to Parkany. The dry trees will have to be eliminated. It is recommended to plant drought-resistant oaks in their place.
