Tiraspol, September 2. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The state must be recognized first and foremost by its people. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized this, answering journalists' questions during the ceremonial events dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the creation of the republic.
"The first recognition comes from the people," the head of state said. "If the people recognize the government, this state is recognized. And everything else is details, technical details."
The head of state noted that the list of internationally recognized states includes many in which human rights are not respected and corruption is rampant.
"Our state is unrecognized, but we have the right to life, the right to freedom, we have a law that everyone obeys. This is important," Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized. "And that is why in these difficult times people come to us and live with us. And not only refugees from Ukraine, but also citizens of other countries. They come to us and live. And, let's say, they feel at least comfortable here."
