The solemn ceremony of presenting state awards of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held in the small hall of the Palace of the Republic. The event is traditional. It is held on the eve of the main state holiday. The most distinguished Pridnestrovians are honored. People of various professions and spheres of activity are among those awarded. Addressing the heroes of the celebration, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that they are the Pridnestrovian people, the presence of which is the main achievement of the state.
"Thirty-four years is a long time, especially if you remember how many events have befallen Pridnestrovie, how many problems, how many challenges, how many victories. All this was in our history. Probably, it will still be. Unfortunately, the world is fragile, everything is burning around us, but Pridnestrovie has existed for 34 years nevertheless. I will tell you thanks to what. There is only one reason – the Pridnestrovian people. The first leaders, the first Pridnestrovian deputies, the defenders of Pridnestrovie, modern leaders, modern defenders – these are all the Pridnestrovian people. The main achievement of Pridnestrovie. All of you can draw a conclusion today about how our neighbors live and how we live. We preserve our languages, our culture, literature, our art, our identity, our faith in God. Many who come to Pridnestrovie call it an island of common sense. Perhaps, it is so. Of course, this is the achievement of the entire Pridnestrovian people. We must continue to live. The state can be called differently, have its own history. It is important who lives in this state. Our people are hardworking, responsible, proud, capable of defending their native land. We honor those who especially deserve it today, on the eve of the date of September 2. Probably, everyone deserved it, but every year we award our employees, our defenders, those who build, those who heal, those who defend, those who guard, those who teach, those who work on the land. Every year we award our people – absolutely deservedly. This is your award, your teams, your loved ones and relatives", the President emphasized. Vadim Krasnoselsky congratulated those awarded the state awards, and in their person the entire Pridnestrovian people, assuring that the republic will continue to develop.
