OSCE PA resolution contradicts the mission`s regular reports

The Head of the PMR Foreign Ministry called the document of the Parliamentary Assembly part of the information war

Tiraspol, July 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Resolution of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, unfairly denigrating Pridnestrovie, contradicts the regular reports of the OSCE Mission. The Head of the PMR Foreign Ministry Vitaly Ignatiev told the Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations of the Supreme Council about the true goals of this “document.”

He emphasized that this “resolution” became part of the information war against Pridnestrovie.

“Someone showed certain compassion to infect the information field and unfairly accuse Pridnestrovie. There is reason to believe that the lion's share of the Resolution`s text was prepared by representatives of Moldova. It's not a secret. We even know who did it. Of course, this is an element of information war,” Vitaly Ignatiev said.

This is also evidenced by the differences between the OSCE PA “resolution” and the reports of the OSCE Mission. Representatives of the organization regularly note the great contribution of Pridnestrovie to maintaining peace, the negotiation process and the conscientiousness of the PMR in implementing agreements.

“The current OSCE Chairmanship assesses the positive aspects and does not find any problems with the implementation of the agreements. And then suddenly the OSCE PA, from somewhere in the closet of the past, pulled out a whole set of cliches and stereotypes that do not correspond to reality. This is trivial toxic propaganda, and also not rational,” Ignatiev said.

The Head of the mission regularly reports the current situation in Pridnestrovie to the OSCE - if the OSCE PA had got acquainted with these reports, the picture would have been more adequate, the Head of the PMR Foreign Ministry noted.

“We sent an appeal to the OSCE PA governing bodies, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, held a meeting with the leadership of the OSCE Mission and believe that this resolution is not only unfair and inadequate, but it also harms the settlement process. It creates additional tension, confrontation, and distorts the real picture,” Vitaly Ignatiev said.
