Today's working day of the President took place in Kamenka district. Vadim Krasnoselsky held an extended meeting with local activists – the leadership of the district, representatives of the city administration, heads of villages, deputies of the district and village councils, parliamentarians representing the interests of local residents in the legislature of the republic as well as heads of departments, services, organizations and leading enterprises of Kamenka district. Vadim Krasnoselsky prefaced the discussion of issues of concern to the people of Kamenka with congratulations on the occasion of the end of the academic year. Opening the working discussion, the President noted that an open direct dialogue allows for prompt resolution of pressing issues, contributes to the strengthening of interdepartmental contacts and the effectiveness of interaction.
The President focused on the foreign policy situation, relations with neighboring states, potential threats to the republic and their prevention, ensuring the safety of citizens.
They discussed taxation, sphere of passenger transportation, entrepreneurship, agro-industrial complex, sale of agricultural products, activities of the cannery of Kamenka and importance of preserving the local technical school and rural ungraded schools. The problem of caring for lonely elderly citizens was raised. Young people do not have enough organized cultural leisure as it turned out.
The interlocutors addressed some requests to the PMR President, voiced proposals, the implementation of which could contribute to the development of the district in their opinion. The objects that need repair, reconstruction, re-equipment were named. It was, for example, about the city stadium: the director of the local sports school drew attention to the unsatisfactory condition of the stands. It is noted that there is no indoor swimming pool in the area. There is no even a gym in the village of Grushka (the building was damaged by a fire). Residents go to play sports in neighboring Kuzmin. They say they are ready to wait until there is a financial opportunity to restore a socially significant object. They asked to pay attention to the condition of rural roads as a matter of priority at the same time. Specific sections of the roadway that require urgent bringing into proper condition were sounded. Representatives of the district and settlements awaiting connection to the centralized water supply system were designated.
An eminent compatriot – a native of the village of Kuzmin, Kamenka district, Ivan Sidorovich Soltys was remembered in the course of the meeting. The Hero of the Soviet Union would have turned 100 years old in September of this year if his life had not ended in the Great Patriotic War. The President was asked to assist in the improvement of the territory in front of the Museum of Soltys.
The PMR President noted that all the voiced aspects will be put into work. The profile specialists of the relevant services and departments will have to study the necessary materials before decisions are made. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that there are no minor problems, but still there are priorities. The priorities recalled that almost 55 million rubles have been allocated from the capital investment fund for the development of the social infrastructure of Kamenka district over the past six years. 19.5 million of them are this year's funding. Four villages of the Kamenka district were included in the 2023 investment program for water supply. Plans are being formed for the future – the near and long term. Funding sources are being sought. It is necessary for the optimal distribution of available resources to have all the information and see the whole picture. It is in order not to lose sight of any object that such meetings are held, the President summed up, expressing gratitude to the participants in the conversation for their indifference and active position. At the end of the collective meeting, Vadim Krasnoselsky decided to visit with an inspection some of the facilities that were discussed in the course of the meeting.
