The previously announced series of meetings of the President and the deputies of city and district councils has started. This is a traditional practice. Such dialogue activities are carried out on a systematic basis. The initiator is the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky talked today with the deputies of Tiraspol and Dnestrovsk. Representatives of the public, the head of the state administration of the city of Tiraspol and the city of Dnestrovsk, and legislators representing these cities in the Supreme Council were also invited to the discussion. The conversation lasted over two hours. They talked about politics, education, tourism, infrastructure. Old problems that do not lose their relevance, as well as new projects and ideas related to the development of the capital, Dnestrovsk and the republic as a whole were discussed.
A significant part of the conversation was devoted to the political situation. It was about relations with neighboring Moldova, the state and prospects of the negotiation process, the impact that the events taking place in Ukraine have on Pridnestrovie. The topic of prevented terrorist attacks was not left without attention. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that the investigating authorities had additional information, which at the time of the meeting was being prepared for publication. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic emphasized that the appeals he initiated to international structures are, in essence, the appeal to the world community to help maintain peace in the Pridnestrovian land. Speaking about the line of behavior of Moldova, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the authorities and the people of this state are free to decide in which direction to move. Moldova is "drifting" – to the Romanian. This is a fact beyond doubt, the President of the PMR considers. Pridnestrovians do not need to interfere in the life of a foreign country. It is necessary to take care of the Pridnestrovian statehood and the interests of their fatherland, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized. He focused on important historical aspects and modern realities, confirming the absolute disunity of the two republics.
The issue of intensifying the work of the outreach consular service point of the Russian embassy was raised in the course of the meeting. It was noted that after the negotiations held at various levels, the staff of the Tiraspol checkpoint was noticeably increased, but still does not correspond to the load. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that this issue will be discussed again in the course of the meeting with Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn, whose visit to Tiraspol is scheduled for the near future.
They constantly returned during the conversation to the capital investment program. The Capital Investment Fund was mentioned in various contexts: when discussing plans for housing construction, renovation of sports infrastructure, repair of roads and yard areas, reconstruction of dormitories, repair of educational facilities, development of recreational areas. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the program is formed on the basis of requests submitted by the heads of state administrations after agreement with the local Councils. This mechanism will continue to operate.
They focused on the topic of training specialists in blue-collar specialties. They talked about the advantages of practice-oriented (dual) education, the feasibility and essence of the ongoing optimization of the system of secondary vocational education.
They discussed the condition of the Tiraspol dormitories, stating that most of the buildings require major repairs. At the same time, it was noted that 80% of the rooms have been privatized. Maintenance of dormitories by homeowners seems to be correct, but first the buildings must be brought into proper condition, the participants of the discussion noted.
They talked about tourism in general and rural tourism in particular. It was noted that much has already been done in the country to enhance domestic tourism and attract foreign guests. It is important that the law on the status of the capital has been implemented in recent years: increased attention is paid to the improvement of Tiraspol. Another significant, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky, aspect is the tidying up and development of not only the central part, but also the microdistricts of the city. The interlocutors discussed future plans. It was news for many that the Catherine Park project will cover not only the already beloved park area on the main square of the capital, the line of the future museum quarter, the embankment, the beach and the rowing base, but also the territory behind the bridge across the Dniester. Speaking about tourism in Pridnestrovie in general, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of the information component, saying that, in addition to the already existing site "Tourist Pridnestrovie", the Internet resource "Pridnestrovian Historical Portal" will be created. The work on the site is at the final stage. As for new locations: negotiations are underway with large farmers on their participation in projects related to the development of rural tourism; there is an idea to create a single cultural and tourist center; there are plans to organize an object representing the wealth of Cossack traditions; there are proposals related to the creation of a camping town, the stylized design of which will reflect the diversity of nationalities that make up the Pridnestrovian people.
The republican dental clinic functioning and the situation with the suspension of medical care in this institution for privileged categories of citizens are among the topics raised at the meeting. The President noted that he was familiar with the problem. The reason for this situation is the lack of executive discipline. The relevant ministry is taking action. Monopoly will be eliminated. An auction will be held to provide citizens with dental services paid by the state this year.
Many questions were addressed to the President by the deputies of Dnestrovsk. They talked about the practical unresolved issue of the boundaries of the city. They asked about the reconstruction of the local stadium. It is scheduled to be completed in 2024. They asked to pay attention to the beach sector near the Kuchurgan reservoir, noting the demand for the object not only among local residents, but among all Pridnestrovians. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that in order to make a decision on the creation of a recreational zone of republican significance (this is a proposal from the deputies of Dnestrovsk), a specific project is needed. The conversation will become actual if it is present. They also asked about the prospects for housing construction in Dnestrovsk. The state will get involved in the work when the request is supported by information about a sufficient number of citizens wishing to take part in the shared construction of cooperative houses, the PMR President replied.
The moderator, Chairman of the Tiraspol City Council of People's Deputies, Vadim Doni at the end of the meeting presented Vadim Krasnoselsky with a departmental award – the medal "For Contribution to the Development of Local Self-Government", established exactly a year ago on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the City Council.
