Triple professional holiday today for Pridnestrovian law enforcement officers: Militia Day, the 105th anniversary of the formation of the Soviet militia and the 31st anniversary of the creation of the Pridnestrovian militia. The President of the PMR congratulated the employees of the internal affairs bodies. Vadim Krasnoselsky arrived at the territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, where the personnel gathered on the solemn occasion. The festive events were preceded by the traditional flower-laying ceremony at the monument to employees of the internal affairs bodies of Pridnestrovie who died in the line of duty. More than four dozen militiamen gave their lives in the service for the Pridnestrovian history. 16 law enforcement officers died defending the freedom and independence of the Pridnestrovian state. Their memory was honored with a minute of silence during the solemn meeting that was held in the assembly hall of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The history of the formation and development of law enforcement structures was recalled during the official part of the event. The countdown has been going on since 1917, when the people's militia initially and then the workers' militia appeared instead of the tsarist police. The corresponding decree was signed on 10 November.

They talked about today's militia, emphasizing that society's trust in law enforcement agencies is growing. The PMR President emphasized the significance and specifics of the activities of employees of the internal affairs bodies. Vadim Krasnoselsky knows about it firsthand: he served in law enforcement structures for almost two decades, five of which as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic from 2007 to 2012. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled the times of service in the Bendery militia department, spoke about the continuity of generations of militiamen, expressed gratitude to veterans of law enforcement agencies. The President emphasized that there is no country on the world map that does not have a system of public security and law and order. The President focused on the peculiarities of service by Pridnestrovian militiamen in modern realities, emphasizing that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is doing an excellent job with the tasks assigned to the militia.

The PMR President presented state awards to the most distinguished employees of various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Sportsmen from among law enforcement officers were also awarded.
