The President held a meeting of the PMR Security Council

The PMR President convened the PMR Security Council. The situation in the country in connection with the reduction in the volume of natural gas supplies to Pridnestrovie was discussed. Information about the current state of affairs was brought to the attention of the Security Council members.

JSC "Moldovagaz" on the eve notified Pridnestrovie of Moldova's restriction of natural gas supplies to 69 million cubic meters per month (2.3 million cubic meters per day). For comparison, 3.9 million cubic meters were supplied daily in October and this volume did not cover the demand by a third. It was noted at the meeting that approximately a hundred million cubic meters of gas are needed for a month for domestic consumption by the population, provision of social infrastructure and industry of Pridnestrovie. Another 90 million cubic meters are needed to generate electricity for export to Moldova (for 100% supply of the energy market of the neighboring state).

Members of the Security Council noted that by their actions Moldova grossly violated the existing agreement between Moldovagaz and Gazprom, according to which 118 million out of 171 million cubic meters of gas supplied to the Republic of Moldova should be sent to Pridnestrovie.

The meeting participants called such unilateral restrictive actions by Moldova unprecedented and treacherous, emphasizing that the entire industry of Pridnestrovie and the economic well-being of the republic are endangered in this way.

Economy regime will be applied in the current circumstances. First of all, the restrictions will affect economic entities. The state of emergency on the territory of Pridnestrovie was proposed by the PMR President to be extended until the 1st of December.

The dialogue with the Russian side continues. New appeals on behalf of Vadim Krasnoselsky are being prepared to the President of the Russian Federation, the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, the State Duma, the Federation Council, PJSC Gazprom.

The issue of providing Pridnestrovians with electricity was discussed in the course of the PMR Security Council meeting. According to the Head of the Moldavian GRES Valentin Trubchanin, there are no problems with the supply of electricity within the republic. One power unit is operating at the moment that covers the internal need for electricity and provides heat to the residents of Dnestrovsk. The enterprise has a 75000-ton coal reserve that will provide the republic with electricity for more than two months in the event of a complete cessation of natural gas supplies to MGRES. The necessary equipment is ready for operation.
