The institution of state scholarships of the President that are awarded to those who have achieved high results in educational, scientific or creative activities and are active in public life has been operating in Pridnestrovie since 2001. 1600 certificates have been issued during this time.
130 applicants were registered this year. The commission approved one hundred recipients. Most of them are students (85 people). Scholarships were also awarded to three pupils of sports schools, six institutions of additional education of an artistic orientation, four members of study groups and two children studying under programs of primary vocational education. The amount of monthly payments during the academic year from September 1 to June 30 varies from 40 to 77 minimum wage, depending on the category of recipients.
A solemn ceremony of presenting documents to scholarship holders for the 2022-2023 academic year is being held in the small hall of the Palace of the Republic.
