2022 is the year of the 30th anniversary of Moldova's armed aggression against the people of Pridnestrovie. The tragic events took place at different points from March to August 1992. A series of commemorative and jubilee events dedicated to each of the tragic dates will be dedicated to it. Today's meeting under the President was dedicated to the preparation. The schedule was discussed via videoconference. Vadim Krasnoselsky invited the First President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the leadership of the Presidential Administration, the PMR Government, the Supreme Council, a number of ministries and departments, state administrations of towns and districts of the republic, and public organizations to a working discussion.
Opening the meeting, Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the importance of holding events designed to preserve the memory of the events of 30 years ago, to convey truthful information to young Pridnestrovians and the world community. The President spoke about the inadmissibility of rewriting history, its reshaping to please someone's interests. He recalled that Moldova, which attacked peaceful Pridnestrovie in 1992, three decades later does not admit mistakes and guilt and promotes the so-called heroism of terrorist killers, thereby encouraging extrajudicial reprisals of that time.
Commemorative events will begin in Pridnestrovie on the 1st of March with thematic meetings and round tables in Dubossary. A mourning meeting of republican significance will be held there on the 2nd of March. The main events will be held in Bendery on the 1st of April and on the 19th of June. Taking into consideration the significance of the dates, representatives of all cities and regions of Pridnestrovie will take part in it. The anniversaries of the formation of the people's militia (March 17) and the start of the peacekeeping operation in Pridnestrovie (July 29) will not be left without attention. Local processions of the Immortal Regiment will be organized in Pridnestrovian cities on the 1st of August, on the day of the 30th anniversary of the victory of the Pridnestrovian people in the fight against the armed aggression of Moldova. The nationwide mass event "Immortal Regiment" will be held in Bendery on the 19th of June. A prayer service was held in all the churches of the republic in memory of the victims on the Day of the Bendery Tragedy.
They discussed in the course of the meeting a possible format for upcoming meetings with veterans, combatants, widows and mothers of the dead. The President instructed to pay increased attention to the problems faced by representatives of these categories of citizens. He focused on the topic of financial support. It was noted that financial assistance must be paid to recipients no later than the 1st of June. They talked about the fact that this year the budget includes 6.5 million rubles for the purchase of 25 apartments for participants in the hostilities to defend Pridnestrovie. Disabled defenders are the first-priority.
Creation of a documentary film about the events of 1992 was discussed. It is planned to be broadcast not only on television, but also in cinemas of the republic as well as in educational institutions. There are developments in creating photo exhibitions, holding requiem concerts. It was instructed to develop, produce and place in all cities banners with information about the human and material losses of Pridnestrovie in 1992. Particular attention was paid to thematic literature. Vadim Krasnoselsky highly appreciated the books “Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Chronicle of the main events" and "All this can happen again?!...". It is recommended that 10000 copies of each edition be published this year.
The books were created collectively. A significant contribution to this work was made by the State Advisor to the PMR President Anna Volkova. She will head the commission for the organization of commemorative events of the spring-summer of this year. Today's developments are to be formed into a single republican plan, which will be submitted for approval to the PMR President.
