According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 1628 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 currently. 791 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. 230hospital beds are occupied in the hospital of Slobodzeya, 78 in the hospital of Rybnitsa, 51 in the hospital of Dubossary, 188 in the city hospital of Bendery, and 244 in the Republican Clinical Hospital of Tiraspol. It is hard to tolerate coronavirus for 175 people or 22% of the total number of currently hospitalized citizens, 23 are patients in intensive care units, five are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 837 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 64 such patients needed hospitalization in the period from the 10th January to the 16th January. 31 children are infected with coronavirus (25 cases of minors were infected with coronavirus a week earlier).
6922 samples of biomaterial of citizens suspected of having an infection were examined during the week (401099 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 1161 cases. Average daily incidence is 166 (a week earlier it was 99). In total 84976 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. 1984 carriers of the virus or 2.3% of the sick – died (twenty deaths of the disease in a week), 81364 people or 96% of those infected – coped with the disease (776 recovered during the reporting week). 812 Pridnestrovians are in conditions of mandatory self-isolation.
1777 Pridnestrovians completed a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. In total 136157 people (35.6% of the adult population) were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic. 8604 people were revaccinated from January 10 to January 16, in total 40091 residents of Pridnestrovie completed the revaccination course.
