According to the information announced at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 1589 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 938 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. There are 151 hospital beds in the Slobodzeya hospital, 86 in the Rybnitsa hospital, 88 in the Dubossary hospital, 268 in two hospitals of Bendery, 307 in hospitals of Tiraspol, 29 in the hospital of Kamenka. Nine wards are undergoing treatment on the basis of the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy. It is hard to tolerate coronavirus for 206 people of 22% of the total number of citizens hospitalized at the moment, 32 are patients in intensive care units. 651 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 99 such patients needed hospitalization from December 20 to December 26. The number of children infected with coronavirus dropped to 28 people (58 cases of juvenile coronavirus infection were registered a week earlier).
5196 samples of the biomaterial of citizens with suspicion of infection were examined during the week (385210 during the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 784 cases. The average daily incidence is 112 (166 a week earlier). The indicator has been decreasing for the ninth week in a row. 82498 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic in total. 1912 carriers of the virus or 2.3% of cases died (twenty-six deaths of the disease in a week), 78997 people or 96% of those infected coped with the disease (1263 recovered during the reporting week). 1066 Pridnestrovians are in mandatory self-isolation.
One group in a technical school, 64 school classes in 36 educational institutions, as well as 21 groups in 19 kindergartens have been quarantined in the republic to date.
3916 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. 129,851 people or 34% of the adult population were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic totally. From December 20 to December 26, 6514 people underwent revaccination, in total 21112 Pridnestrovians underwent revaccination.
