It was noted in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus that today 31.4% of the adult population of the republic – 119962 people – have been vaccinated against COVID-19. 2459 Pridnestrovians completed the vaccination course during the past week. A batch of Sputnik V, the world's first vaccine against coronavirus, created by the Russian National Center for Epidemiology and officially registered in August last year, was delivered to Tiraspol the day before. There are 100 thousand doses of the vaccine on the basis of the Pridnestrovian Sanitary and Epidemiological Station (for 50 thousand courses). Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed the specialized services, together with the heads of state administrations of cities and regions of the republic, to quickly organize the vaccination process. All previously equipped vaccination stations should be involved, Vadim Krasnoselsky pointed out. In addition, the President considers it expedient to use the practice of field vaccination: we are talking not only about vaccination marathons in rural areas, but also about the departure of medical groups to large enterprises. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the vaccine is sufficient to carry out not only primary vaccination, but also revaccination of citizens. The PMR President expressed gratitude to everyone who was involved in the acquisition and delivery of Sputnik V.
It was noted at the meeting that the average daily incidence rate is gradually decreasing. The past seven days, an average of 266 cases were recorded, a week earlier - 290 cases of infection daily. The incidence rate has been declining for the fifth consecutive week. Fewer carriers of the virus are also detected among the child population, it was noted in the reports. The President asked about the number of children born in coronavirus hospitals. The head physician of the Slobodzeya hospital said that during the entire time of the pandemic, 41 children were born within the walls of the institution headed by her. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about the fulfillment of the order regarding CT examinations of citizens undergoing home treatment, as well as patients of the hospital based on the Tirotex dispensary. The Head of the Operational Headquarters Vitaly Neagu informed that this direction is under constant control. 74 people were taken from the dispensary to the hospital of veterans for computed tomography during the past week. 100 citizens undergoing outpatient treatment were examined. 337 people undergoing treatment at their place of residence were delivered for tomography during this month. 122 of them were immediately hospitalized based on CT scan results. The chief doctors of infectious diseases hospitals note that the problem of late appeal of citizens for medical care remains. Hospitalization after a week or more from the moment of infection is fraught with a severe course of the disease and often leads to death, doctors say.
The participants of the Operations Headquarters talked about the formation of a stock of medicines and personal protective equipment for the first quarter of 2022. They also touched upon the issue of providing medical institutions with oxygen. There is no deficit in the republic: Moldavian metallurgical plant maintains a constant reserve of up to 150 tons. At the same time, Vadim Krasnoselsky considers it important to have an alternative source of medical oxygen. He instructed to purchase equipment for the launch of the Slobodzeya oxygen station.
Organizational issues related to the safe conduct of the December elections from a sanitary and epidemiological point of view were discussed at the meeting of the Operations Headquarters. It was decided to declare Friday, December 10, a day off for schoolchildren considering that more than a hundred polling stations will be located in educational institutions, and early voting will take place on Friday and Saturday on their territory. This measure will avoid mixing up the voter and pupils flows.
