Pridnestrovian taekwondo player Dmitry Shulyak won a silver medal in Romania

The representative of Pridnestrovian WTF Taekwondo Union took second place in the Balkan Countries Championships

Tiraspol, November 29 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Last week in Bucharest (Romania) the Balkan WTF Taekwondo Championships was held, in which about 500 athletes from 13 countries took part.

The Pridnestrovian WTF Taekwondo Union was represented at the competition by Dmitry Shulyak (with a weight category of 68 kg) together with junior competitive athlete Irina Sivachenko (with weight category by 52 kg). They performed under coach Yuri Lesovoy's leadership.

Irina Sivachenko had ended the main time of the first fight with a standoff, in the extra one, she conceded to a Romanian athlete.

According to the PMR State Service for Sports, Dmitry Shulyak fought three fights and became the Balkan Countries Championships, silver medalist.
