The President is in Bendery, he inspects socially significant objects on which repair and construction works have been carried out or are in the process. Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the Mother and Child Center. Sanitary and epidemiological restrictions do not allow inspecting all the repaired locations: coronavirus hospital operates on the basis of the Bendery Center for Mother and Child, where infected with COVID-19 are treated. There are over a hundred of the children today. 160 beds are occupied (out of 175 deployed in the red zone) taking into account the mothers of the smallest patients in the hospital. The Head physician of the hospital, Andrei Guranda in a conversation with Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the noticeably increased incidence of childhood diseases during the current pandemic wave. They also talked about the importance of the institution as a whole. Medical service cover 53640 women and 17755 children. Two hospitals – pediatric and obstetric-pediatric – are designed for the simultaneous stay of 275 patients.
They said during the inspection of the premises of the object, access to which is open that approximately 15 million rubles were invested in the reconstruction of the Bendery Center for Mother and Child during the period of the capital investment program. The department of neurology and the pediatric hospital were renovated. The roof was changed on one of the buildings. The windows were updated along the perimeter – one and a half thousand units were subject to replacement. The catering unit was put in order and re-equipped. The entrance lobby and the adjacent territory have been improved. The nearest plans include the reconstruction of the obstetric hospital, the premises of which have not been renovated since 1985. Financing for the next year is provided in the amount of 5 million rubles.
“The eyes are afraid, but the hands are doing it,” Vadim Krasnoselsky described the process of reconstruction of the medical facility, recalling the state of the hospital infrastructure three years ago, when the renovation began. The sequence of work has been determined. Three of them have already been completed. The President is confident that while maintaining and if possible increasing the pace, the facility will be completely transformed within two to three years. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the reconstruction of the Bendery Center for Mother and Child and in the implementation of the state capital investment program in general.
The presidential inspection also touched on the central part of the city. The improvement works are expected to be completed in early December. The opening of the Preobrazhensky Square will be linked to the start of the season of New Year's events. The participants of the visiting meeting discussed plans for the reconstruction of the city embankment. The preliminary schedule suggests that it will take a couple of years to transform it. The work will be carried out in such a way that citizens can have a rest in the coastal park after the first stage.
The reconstructed Bendery overpass is being prepared for the launch of traffic. The renovation is almost complete, the head of the city administration reported to the President today. There are still some elements of the improvement. These works can be carried out without restriction of movement. The specialists will reconnect the trolleybus lines tonight, Roman Ivanchenko informed. The bridge is expected to come to life by morning. At first, traffic militia officers will be on duty at the facility to ensure the safety of the resumed traffic and human flows. It was noted that the carrying capacity of the facility increased. The roadbed under the overpass has been repaired. A new fence has been installed along the bridge. The pedestrian zone is well thought out. The reconstruction cost the state 5.2 million rubles. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that this work could no longer be postponed, since it is about the safety of citizens.
