The PMR President accompanied the European delegation during the walk in the Alexander Nevsky Park

At the end of the main part of the meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the delegation headed by the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ann Linde, the guests were invited to take a walk in the Alexander Nevsky Park. Members of the European delegation visited the temple of Alexander Nevsky. Vadim Krasnoselsky, the initiator of restoration of the Alexander Nevsky Church on its historical site, introduced the interlocutors to the history of the Church, focused on the significance of the personality of the great Russian commander, canonized. The PMR President said that only four Orthodox churches functioned on the territory of modern Pridnestrovie after many years of persecution of the church in the last century. To date, its number has grown to 140. Ann Linde noted the quality of the restoration work, and emphasized the special atmosphere that reigns in the temple of Alexander Nevsky.

Walking through the park, the meeting participants talked about the importance of creating comfortable recreational areas for families. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the fact that Pridnestrovie is trying to combine modernity with history. That is why the largest parks of the republic delicately and unobtrusively tell about the past of the country. Alexander Nevsky Park is an integral part of the Bendery Fortress complex, the Catherine Park in the capital allows you to join the history of Tiraspol, Wittgenstein Park is a part of Kamenka's past, the restored unique Chobruchi Park named after Rodin takes visitors back to the time of its creation.

They talked during the walk about modern youth trends in active pastime. They paid attention to the park rollerdrome. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that modern sports and playgrounds are being actively improved and equipped in Pridnestrovie.

Concluding the walk, the PMR President noted that Pridnestrovie is glad to receive guests, and not only on a business occasion. He said that the Alexander Nevsky Park and the citadel of the Bendery Fortress became attractive venues for residents of the republic and foreign tourists for holding a wide variety of events, and invited his interlocutors to celebrate the 613th anniversary of the first mention of Bendery in the chronicles. The festivities are scheduled for the coming Saturday.
