The PMR President held a meeting with the US delegation

Vadim Krasnoselsky met at the presidential executive office with the American delegation, headed by the Deputy Assistant Secretary responsible for Central and Eastern Europe in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Robin Dunnigan. She was accompanied by US Charge d'Affaires in RM Laura Ruby and Political and Economic Counselor at the US Embassy Anna Margolis.

The meeting was for informational purposes only. Robin Dunnigan has been in her current position for less than a month - since September 7 this year.

Welcoming the guests, Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed hope for mutually comfortable interaction and fruitful cooperation. The PMR President noted that bilateral Pridnestrovian-American contacts within the framework of various kinds of humanitarian projects have a long history. The role of the United States is also important in the work of the "Permanent Conference ..." format, noted the PMR President (the United States is included in the "5 + 2" as an observer). Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that he is aimed at a fruitful discussion and a reasoned exchange of views. The American diplomat, in turn, indicated that the country she represents supports the negotiation process and stands for its development.

Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled the position of Pridnestrovie, which is based on the desire for open and effective dialogue. He noted that the current agenda for the Pridnestrovian side is clear and transparent. Its basis is the provisions prescribed in the Berlin + package, supplemented by other aspects, the appearance of which is caused by new realities and challenges. One of the most pressing problems today is the restriction of the free movement of vehicles with Pridnestrovian license plates. The PMR President emphasized that he considers the fulfillment by all participants of the obligations assumed earlier to be the key to the successful continuation of the negotiations. At the same time the position of the Moldovan side is vague according to Vadim Krasnoselsky, and the statements made publicly are at odds with the case.

The PMR President told the interlocutors that on September 29 he sent a letter to the Head of the Moldovan State Maya Sandu, which was delivered to the addressee on September 30. Vadim Krasnoselsky in the letter called on the President of the Republic of Moldova to dialogue and intensify the negotiation process, filling it with practical content. The letter describes in detail the problematic aspects of bilateral relations, the solution of which is urgent. Letters of a similar content were sent on behalf of the Chairman of the Government of the PMR Alexander Martynov to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Natalia Gavrilitsa, as well as signed by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Alexander Korshunov to his Moldovan colleague, Speaker of the Parliament of the RM Igor Grosu. So far, there has been no reaction from the Moldovan side, Vadim Krasnoselsky stated in an interview with the American diplomat, noting that he still expects to intensify the dialogue at various venues.
