Tiraspol, August 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. After reaching the group stage of the Champions League, the Tiraspol football club Sheriff moved up to the 70th place in the UEFA club rankings. Today, it, in particular, is ahead of such teams as Spartak (Moscow), French Lille, Turkish Galatasaray and Spanish Real Sociedad.
Reaching the Champions League group stage gave the Tiraspol team 4,000 points in the rating. In general, Sheriff's club coefficient is 17,500 today.
Note that club coefficients are calculated by UEFA based on club performance in the Champions League and Europa League over the past five seasons. The current club rating is topped by German Bayern Munich. Dynamo (Zagreb), which was defeated by the Tiraspol team in the recent Champions League playoffs, is in 33rd place.
