Working discussion with members of the Operational Headquarters

The PMR President during the meeting of the Operational Headquarters for prevention of the spread of coronavirus asked about the provision of the healthcare sector with medicines and personal protective equipment. Sufficient reserve has been formed for all positions according to the Minister of Health. As for the hospital bed capacity: there are two coronavirus hospitals at the moment (Slobodzeya serves the south and central part of the republic, Rybnitsa – the northern regions). The total hospital workload is 52%. There is a need to increase the number of beds in Rybnitsa. The morbidity situation is under constant control. In the case of its deterioration, prompt measures will be taken to increase the bed capacity to provide all those in need with quality treatment under the supervision of specialists. The hospital in Slobodzeya is now 44% full. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that citizens have no complaints about the quality of the provision of medical services, but appeals are received regarding some infrastructural deficiencies. It was noted, for example, that not all windows and doors installed at the beginning of the pandemic in an accelerated mode to start an infectious hospital are tightly closed. The President instructed to form a commission (noting that only vaccinated citizens can be included in it), which examines all the premises of the Slobodzeya hospital. The contractor will be obliged to reconstruct it if he performed the work poorly.
