The second stage of joint Moldovan-Ukrainian control at Kuchurgan checkpoint is postponed

Earlier, the Moldovan authorities planned to introduce a second phase of control on July 1, which would lead to the blocking of Pridnestrovian exports and imports

Grigoriopol, June 17. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Vadim Krasnoselsky continues to inspect the towns and districts of Pridnestrovie. Today a working meeting took place in Grigoriopol.

According to the Head of State press service, among the topics of the conversation were foreign policy, traditional for such collective meetings, the course of the negotiation process: background, current state of affairs, prospects and impact on various living environment of the republic.

Residents of Grigoriopol asked about the problem of introducing the second phase of Moldovan-Ukrainian control at the Kuchurgan checkpoint, which the Moldovan authorities planned to launch on July 1. This will lead to the blocking of Pridnestrovian exports and imports. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that although the issue was not withdrawn from the agenda, a decision was made to shift the announced deadline for the implementation of this initiative, limiting Pridnestrovians` right to free movement. January 1, 2022 is named so far.

The PMR President did not disregard the issue of support from Russia. The previous day, the State Duma of Russia adopted a statement in which it spoke out very convincingly against the blockade measures against Pridnestrovie.

They talked about a pandemic, vaccination and vaccination certificates. Vadim Krasnoselsky regretted that there were those in the world who politicize such issues that are exclusively humanitarian in nature, mentioning the situation when Moldova prevented the timely delivery of medicines and equipment to Pridnestrovie, necessary for organizing anti-coronavirus activities.
