Tiraspol, June 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Bendery field athletes repeated the previous year success and once again became medal winners at the Balkan Championship among juniors.
Yana Garayeva improved her preceding result and won a gold medal in a hurdle-race over a distance of 400 meters.
A silver medal was won again by Juliana Dabija in the triple jump. The young girl made a jump of 12 meters 57 cm, conceding about 40 cm to the winner, the Serbian athlete.
Ivan Galushko from Tiraspol took the 6th place at the 200-meter race.
Ksenia Bergiy (with sprinting 400 meters) together with Elizaveta Morar (with broad jump) won his spot in the second group of ten.
Competitions among field athletes under 20 years of age were held in Istanbul where teams from 16 world countries took place. In the team event, the first three medalists became competitors from Turkey, Romania as well as Serbia.
