Tiraspol, May 17. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie is planning to purchase a large consignment of Chinese vaccine against coronavirus. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
Nowadays the inoculation campaign is well under way in the republic. Within two weeks it’s planned to inoculate Pridnestrovians with the Russian drug “Sputnik V.” Russia has allocated in humanitarian aid about 31 thousand binary doses. Almost 2,900 PMR citizens received the AstraZeneca medication.
“To the extent that received medications free of charge are used, vaccination won’t be stopped. It’s planned different vaccines’ purchasing. In addition to the Russian “Sputnik V”, we will also purchase a Chinese medication. At that moment in the negotiating process a purchasing of 100,000 doses (for 50,000 immunization courses). Pridnestrovians will be given a choice of which vaccine to protect themselves against coronavirus infection,” Vadim Krasnoselsky noted.
The head of state stressed that vaccination is entirely volunteer-based and all medications (irrespective of whether it’s a humanitarian aid or they are bought at government expense) Pridnestrovian citizens will receive it free of charge.
