Representatives of the Pridnestrovian authorities participate in the XXIX International Educational Readings “Alexander Nevsky: West and East, Historical Memory of the People”.
The grand opening of the forum took place today. According to Alexander Korshunov, the main idea of the readings is spiritual and patriotic education and the transmission of historical truth to the younger generation.
“A lot of people from different parts of Russia participate in this event in order to preserve historical memory in its original form for voicing, discussing and passing it on to younger generations. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin addressed the participants of the International Educational Readings. He stressed that our ancestors` deeds, their perseverance and dedication in the name of the Fatherland would always serve as an example for all generations.

I am convinced that we need to strengthen the link of times, cherish and be proud of our national heroes` names and deeds. This should be the focus of the efforts of the state, the education and enlightenment system, religious and public organizations, and the media,” the President of the Russian Federation said in his greeting address.
