Vadim Krasnoselsky during one of the working meetings drew attention of the Head of State Administration of Slobodzeya and Slobodzeya district to the requests of local residents regarding street lighting. Citizens in their appeals indicate that not all parts of the town are provided with centralized artificial lighting. There are complaints from the local population about the uncomfortable sidewalks. The Head of the district Vasily Tishchenko informed that work in this direction is being carried out. Vasily Tishchenko noted that the installation of lanterns is a part of the complex improvement work, therefore, it is being carried out pointwise, but in the near future the presidential order to provide the central and diagonal streets of all settlements of the republic with street lighting will be fully implemented. As for the sidewalks: increased attention was paid to the territories adjacent to the educational institutions of the district in 2019-2020: over 1.7 million rubles were spent on their paving (11 objects). Four more sites are planned for this year (640 thousand rubles have been allocated). Paving slabs are laid in recreational areas that are being reconstructed or created from scratch. The President emphasized that it is necessary to base on the opinion of users – local residents when determining the lanes of the paths to be renovated and laid. The President recalled that the same principle should be fundamental in the design of street lighting networks.
Work in these directions will be intensified after May holidays. By the next meeting, scheduled for May 12, The Head of Slobodzeya will present a detailed a report on the improvement of the town with a territorial breakdown, as well as a plan for further actions.
