The first dose of AstraZeneca medication was received today by 95 employees of the Republican Clinical Hospital, the Republican Hospital for Disabled People of the Great PatrioticWar, the Republican Center for Mother and Child, as well as Bendery, Dnestrovsk, Grigoriopol and Rybnitsa hospitals.
Recall that vaccination against COVID-19 started on March 29 in Pridnestrovie. 21 employees were injected on a voluntary basis: the RCH and Rybnitsa hospital employees. Thus, 116 health workers taking part in the treatment of patients with COVID-19 were vaccinated in two days.
The schedule and volumes of immunization depend on the number of people wishing to be vaccinated. The next stage of vaccination will take place in 8 weeks. This is the most effective interval for the second dose.
The Ministry of Health website says that 11 centers are open on the territory of the republic. Three of them are in Tiraspol, they are located in the Republican Clinical Hospital, the Hospital for Disabled People and the Republican Center for Medical Development; two of them are in Bendery - in the city hospital and the Center for Medical Development; one is in each hospital in other cities and regions.
Note that a batch of AstraZeneca vaccine was provided by Romania as humanitarian aid. Only doctors are vaccinated at the first stage. If there is more of this vaccine than there are doctors who want to get it, then the opportunity to get vaccinated against coronavirus will be provided to all those who wish it in Pridnestrovie. This is the President`s instruction. Each vaccinated citizen will be put into the appropriate database and receive confirmation - an international certificate.
