610 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals. 22 of them are in serious condition in intensive care units, two are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. The workload of specialized hospitals is 35%.
72 people in hospitals await the results of the study of the biomaterial taken from them. 330 Pridnestrovians undergo treatment at their place of residence. Over the past seven days, due to the deteriorating health condition, 56 carriers of the virus have been transferred from home to hospital treatment. 909 citizens of the PMR are on self-isolation.
The President was informed about the epidemiological situation in the educational institutions of the republic. 29 school classes and 8 groups of preschool educational institutions were closed from 18 to 24 February due to detected cases of infection. 33 classrooms and 8 groups are closed in the republic in total. At the same time, not a single case of COVID-19 was detected among pupils of educational institutions of the Dubossary district. The educational process is quickly organized in a distance mode for classes that are closed for quarantine.
The total number of laboratory tests conducted since the beginning of the pandemic is 144 199 (2635 of which - from 18 to 24 February). 680 people died (2% mortality), 29 183 Pridnestrovians were able to defeat the disease (94% of the number of cases). The average daily incidence rate in the republic in the reporting period was 67 cases, 83 a week earlier.
