Tiraspol, February 8. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The development of land amelioration in our country was discussed in the PMR Government. The Prime Minister Alexander Martynov, opening the meeting, drew attention on the importance of the conducted work in terms of the ameliorative complex’s development.

The Prime Minister noted, that last year the Government confirmed a program for irrigation systems development. Moreover, a fund raising has been introduced, which will be used for the irrigation systems repairing and reconstruction, the governmental press service reports.

“We have taken an important step in terms of changing the business entity form of incorporation of the State Institution “Distribution Systems”. At that moment it’s the State Unitary Enterprise “Pridnestrovian Distribution Systems”. The financing mechanism itself from the budgeted one to the tariff differences was changed by us. Thus, the Government expects serious results already in 2021 from a range of steps, that were taken,” Alexander Martynov noted.

According to the director of the State Unitary Enterprise “Distribution Systems” Ivan Botya, this year it’s planned to launch about 64 hydraulic power stations. For instance, last year there was only 52 stations. At that moment specialists are preparing to repair and replace equipment on some of them. We remind you: this year from the budget for the stations repairing work were allocated more than 11 million rubles.

About 9.1 million rubles of them will be spent on repairing work to replace the Chobruchi’s pipeline, installation and wrecking aggregates in Tashlyk, the sewerage pump station № 3 pipeline replacing of the Grigoripolsk branch, as well as hydraulic axial equipment repairing at several pumping stations. For equipment acquisition for the main station Tashlyk and the sewerage pump station № 3 of the Grigoriopol branch, 2 million rubles were allocated.

All works are finishing at one pumping station of Sukleya. By mid-March, it will be fully ready for the land watering. A number of works on the high-efficiency engines repairing and replacement in Chobruchi were also completed. If last year the only one waterpump worked there, then this year all three ones will operate.

“This year we are planning to start the irrigation period on time as well as to fulfill all water consumers’ requests,” Ivan Botya concluded.

Thanks to such extensive work, the irrigated land area may increase by almost 30%: from 18.5 thousand hectares to almost 24 thousand.

We also talked about staff training. In this direction, by the Prime Minister order, they will explore the possibility of training young specialists for the advanced training of those, who are already employed.
