The President in the course of the visit to facilities included in the capital investment program in Bendery was accompanied by the Head of local administration Roman Ivanchenko, Chairman of the City Council Yuri Kara and the Head of the Department of Architecture and Construction Ivan Untu. The schedule of the retreat included the facilities that were mentioned by the Head of the city in today's report on the results of the administration's activities in 2020. The first point on the route of the delegation headed by Vadim Krasnoselsky is the overpass across the railway (Kotovsky and Panin streets). The President is sure that its reconstruction is a matter of citizens' safety. The bridge was built in the middle of the last century and has not yet been repaired. Two years ago, the examination was started. Not only local specialists were involved in the work, but also experts from St. Petersburg. There were saggings detected. Restrictions were introduced for the tonnage of cars, the speed of movement and the distance between vehicles to minimize the risks. It is necessary to strengthen the main structures, ensuring the safety of traffic. There are fears that when dismantled, its condition will be worse than it seems. The preliminary cost of the project (based on the currently defined scope of work) is 5,3 million rubles. The upcoming improvement, including installation of enclosing structures is at the discussion stage. The illumination is thought over. It will be installed at the city expense. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers this object to be of the highest priority - both from the point of view of ensuring the safety of citizens and the importance of the road junction functionality.
The presidential inspection was today at the Memorial and Historical Complex in Ermakova Street. This facility was built in 2008. The overhaul was started in 2019. Over two years, 873000 rubles were spent. The retaining wall was strengthened with these funds, the steps on both sides of the colonnade were restored, the roof was partially repaired, and the blind area was restored. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that this place is of great importance for the history of the city and the republic as a whole. The object is also valuable from a tourist point of view. Its improvement will continue.
The President visited the Solnechny Park. This park area got its name from the microdistrict in which it is located - one of the most densely populated in Bendery. Construction began in the area of school No. 16 last year. The project, demolished as unnecessary or transferred in accordance with the plan was developed for the million rubles allocated from the Capital Investment Fund 2020, the existing structures were started, and the construction of public toilets began. This year, under the capital investment program, almost twice as much was allocated for the continuation of work in the park – 1,9 million rubles. It is planned to pave the paths with paving slabs, install small architectural forms, equip a children's playground (equipment for it has already been purchased), a mini-football field 40 by 25 meters, a volleyball court, a streetball field, running tracks, lighting and landscaping. A chess and checkers sector and a place for board games have been thought out. It is planned to implement the plans for the Republic Day.
On behalf of the President, increased attention will be paid to the central part of the town this year. A major reconstruction is planned, for the implementation of which seven million rubles have been allocated in Capital Investment Fund 2021. Other sources of financing are also being considered. 6,5 million can be allocated from the Road Fund - for specialized work, another five million - under the program for the repair of sidewalks. The plans include a complete transformation of Lenin Street - from Osvobozhdeniye Square to Privokzalnaya. The recreational sector in the district of the House of Culture named after Tkachenko will be transformed, the pedestrian zone will be improved, the bowl of the existing fountain will be reconstructed and a new one will be created - the so-called dry one. There should appear an open area for performances by creative teams, an exhibition area, a section of out-of-town trade, a strip for cyclists and roller skaters in the center of Bendery. The style of decoration will be changed - lamps, benches, urns and other small architectural forms will be part of a single composition. Shading of the most sunny areas is being considered. There is an idea to try out the so-called colored asphalting. Roman Ivanchenko told the President that a group of specialists who are members of the Coordination Council is working on the project. They plan to start work already in March, expecting to complete the bulk by September. The transformation of the city will not end there. According to the schedule, the embankment improvement is the next. Vadim Krasnoselsky discussed these plans today not only with the head of Bendery, but also with its residents, who are looking forward to the promised reconstruction.
