Government prepared draft bill on Unified Population Register

Tiraspol, January 21. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, a draft bill “On the Unified Population Register” (UPR) was discussed by the Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Kasap and the Supreme Council deputie. This document will emerge as a starting point for the programming a common electronic database, including information about Pridnestrovians, foreigners and stateless persons living (staying) in the republic.

According to experts, it will be possible to build a large-scale digital system, only by means of UPR. This system will include all interconnected online services. It will allow citizens to forget about queues and collecting verification letters for receiving the necessary service. Thus, officials will independently find all the necessary information in one place and will execute his job quickly and efficiently, the Government website reports.

It’s expected, that the admission to the Unified Population Register will be gained both by governmental authorities, local government bodies and organizations providing public services. Moreover, that access will be granted to citizen adults in terms of personal data, corresponding to them, their children under 18 years of age and their dependents.

During the dialogue, the interlocutors paid attention to all the initiative key points and the future project technical input.

Advisory services for improving the statutory and regulatory enactments and determining meaningful actions aimed at creating the UPR will continued by the Government’s executive and legislative branches.
