Salary increase and affordable housing. Prime-minister about health workers’ encouragement

According to Alexander Martynov, it is impossible to talk about the development of healthcare without serious motivation of the medical staff

Tiraspol, January 16. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Medical workers` low salaries remain one of the main problems of the Pridnestrovian healthcare, the Head of the Government said on the air of the First Pridnestrovian TV channel.

“Doctors and paramedical staff show patriotism and love for their work. They do their job. But it is not possible to talk about the industry development in the medium or in the long term without substantial motivation,” Alexander Martynov stated.

The Prime Minister said that measures would be taken to change that situation in the near future. They plan to encourage health workers through a salary increase and an affordable housing program.

It should be reminded that last year, by the decision of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, there were allocated about 100 million rubles to increase the salaries of medical personnel.

Additional payments are entitled to employees who are involved in the fight against COVID-19.
