Solemn ceremony was held on the parade ground of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, dedicated to the Day of the Rescuer and the 12th anniversary of the formation of the Main Directorate for Emergency Situations. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the event. 60 Pridnestrovian rescuers responded traditional three-fold "Hurray!" to the Commander-in-Chief's congratulations. They arrived for the celebration in the capital from all regions of the republic.
The ceremony began with the laying of flowers at the monument to the officers of internal affairs who died in the line of duty. There were five tragic cases during 12 years of existence in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR rescue unit.
Addressing the current representatives of the three departments - Civil Protection, Fire Protection and Emergency Rescue Service, the President noted the importance of their activities, which has been proven in practice by a huge number of saved lives. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude for the service. The President presented state awards to the most distinguished employees of the divisions of the Main Directorate for Emergency Situations.
