Dubossary, December 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Natalya Krivosheeva, a history and social science teacher at Dubossary gymnasium No. 1, took part in the PROFI-2020 International Olympiad for subject teachers in social studies and won the 15th prize-winning place among 1,305 teachers from Russia, the CIS countries and Mongolia.
The International Olympiad organiser is the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Perm and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Perm region. The professional competition among subject teachers took place in September this year and consisted of five stages.
Natalia Krivosheeva has been teaching at the school for 26 years. She admits, that she has taken part in such a project for the first time and gained a lot of experience. In some way she felt like a modern student, who passes exams online.
“I decided to try my hand. It was uneasy. We answered questions on philosophy, economics, political science, sociology, history through the proctoring system [the procedure for monitoring and controlling remote examination - Ed]. The Olympiad is a unique competition, that allows us not only to obtain an objective assessment of our knowledge, but also to improve the level of qualifications in an innovative format,” Natalia Krivosheeva described.
The teacher from the Dubossary gymnasium received a certificate of honour of the PROFI-2020 International Olympiad, as well as a certificate of qualification courses.
The PROFI-2020 International Olympiad for subject teachers was held 13 times. The last year, more than 8 thousand teachers from 78 regions of the Russian Federation and 8 foreign countries took part in it. In total, 60 thousand participants took part in the Olympiad.
