Tiraspol, November 13. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Andrey Kiryakov became the champion of Moldavia in boxing in the adult age category. The championship was held in Chisinau, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The fighter took first place in weight up to 81 kg. He had three fights. In the semifinals, Andrey Kiryakov defeated an athlete from Tiraspol by points. In the decisive fight with the Moldovan boxer from Grimankautsy, he also won.
Thus, Andrey Kiryakov became a two-time champion of Moldavia. This year, the athlete became the best in the Pridnestrovian championship and the championship of Moldavia U-22.
Andrey has been boxing since he was 10 years old. Now the young fighter is 20. Three years ago he became the master of sports of the PMR. He is silver medalist of the international tournament in Magadan, participant in the Second European Olympic Games in Minsk, the Adult World Championship in Yekaterinburg and the European Youth Championship in Italy.
