Saving the director Yovchev. Why the Lucian Blaga lyceum in Tiraspol went into quarantine

The Moldovan authorities don’t have objective information about the epidemiological situation in the schools under their jurisdiction in Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, October 30. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Moldovan school with education in Romanian language in Tiraspol is under quarantine until November 9. The reason: five students, a librarian and several teachers, including the director of the lyceum, Ion Yovchev, have been infected with COVID-19.

They were hospitalized in the Slobodzeyan hospital the condition of the sick was assessed as stable. Recently it was reported about the case of COVID-19 in the Bendery Alexandru cel Bun Romanian lyceum. A nurse was infected there.

Meanwhile, Moldovan authorities report, that the epidemiological situation in Romanian schools of Pridnestrovie under their jurisdiction is normal. But the numbers suggest otherwise. Apparently, that the officials don’t have objective information about their schools.

By the way, Moldovan authorities offered the sick to be hospitalized in Chisinau. Everyone, apart from the director, refused and decided to stay in the Slobodzeyan coronavirus hospital, arguing, that conditions in the Pridnestrovian hospital are good.

But the director of the Romanian lyceum didn’t miss opportunity to stage a political show. On his Facebook, he thanks everyone, who “RESCUE him from the Slobodzeyan hospital”, and “now he has the opportunity to improve his health with the help of specialists and the Lord God.”

Anyway, Yovchev has always been prone to pathetic demagogy, but now he has also demonstrated a lack of conscience. The Pridnestrovian specialists diagnosed the coronavirus. They provided medical treatment for several days. And then, you see, he was “rescued”! It’s clear: he wants to promote himself, plays politics. But why bite the hand that feeds you? What kind of cynical ingratitude, Mr. Yovchev?

Meanwhile, there are already more than 75 thousand cases of coronavirus in Moldova. The neighboring country ranks first in Europe in terms of negative statistics. The health-care system of RM, as doctors and politicians note, is on the verge of collapse.
