Tiraspol, October 2./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The PMR’s Government approved a work plan on the laying of tactile paving on the streets all over the republic.
Let's note that tactile paving will appear at crosswalks and intersections to assist pedestrians who are visually impaired. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky gave the order to install such tiles at the beginning of this year
Rybnitsa was the first settlement where separate sections of Lenin, Mayakovsky, Kirov, Victory, and Komsomolskaya streets have been equipped with such tactile paving. These works will be continued in the future.
According to the schedule, this year tactile paving will appear in Kamenka. Bendery, Tiraspol, Dubossary, Dniestrovsk, and Slobozia will be equipped in 2021 year.

The areas with tactile paving were determined by the state administration together with representatives of local blind and visually impaired people societies, the deputy head of the Main Directorate of Construction, Road, Housing and Communal Service of the Ministry of Economic Development - the head of the Department of Road Facilities Elvira Bechta noted in the interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya News Agency. She specified that as a rule, these were places of compact residence of blind or visually impaired citizens. According to her, the list of such places can be updated during the work.
The Ministry of Economic Development is studying the possibility of this type of paving producing in Pridnestrovie.
The head of the Road Management Department said the requests were sent to five producers of the paving.
"In fact, all of them expressed readiness to engage in such production. They have equipment for it. It is necessary to purchase special molds," Elvira Bechta said.
The first steps in this direction have already been taken by one of the Rybnitsa companies. Tactile paving produced at this enterprise were installed on some Rybnitsa streets.
