The visit of the President to the Slobodzeya district was held without cabinet meetings. The on-site inspection covered various settlements of the district and diverse facilities. Particular attention of the President is the situation in agriculture, as well as social infrastructure. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked the Head of the local administration about the situation in this sphere. The first question is about the coronavirus situation. Slobodzeya district in the number of citizens with COVID-19, in the first three - more than two hundred infections among the local population. At the same time, Slobodzeya doctors took upon themselves the main burden: the first Pridnestrovian COVID hospital was deployed on the basis of the Slobodzeya hospital, and infected patients living in the center and south of the republic continue to be admitted to this day. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the administration and residents of the region for their civil responsibility and understanding of the significance of the general confrontation of the pandemic.
Another test that was adequately overcome in the Slobodzeya district is the flood. The President asked about the consequences, noting that he knew about the personal participation of the Head in the prevention and minimization of flood threats. Vasily Tishchenko confirmed that, indeed, he kept the situation under control and went around all the dangerous sections. He talked about measures taken to strengthen weak sections of dams, and outlined the areas affected by the passage of flood waters. Among them there are the Dniester Dawns and Youth camps in Merenesti.
In the course of the the working conversation, they focused on the topic of water supply to the steppe zone. Centralized water supply is expected in eight villages In the Slobodzeya district. The situation is aggravated by failing wells. Somewhere the issue is silty and the need for drilling, somewhere - in inappropriate equipment.
Agrarians from Slobodzeya are waiting for pumping stations. The weather and climatic conditions did not spoil them this year. Significant damage was caused by both late snowless frosts and prolonged drought. Winter crops were seriously affected. Crops of the fields located in the village of Vladimirovka LLC TPF "Intercenter-Lux" were lost. Vadim Krasnoselsky, accompanied by Vasily Tishchenko, examined the farmland of the local branch of the enterprise. Here they were told that thousands of hectares of winter wheat, barley and rapeseed were sown for the current year’s harvest. These crops did not weather the test. Huge areas had to be rediscovered. The company suffered millions losses. Reserved spring seed plots. It was possible to preserve the crop on irrigated lands. These are mainly plots where fodder crops are grown. They are a priority, as farmers do everything possible to preserve the livestock sector in the region. In the current dry year, to save livestock, you have to buy food, the entrepreneur shared.
Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized in an interview with the Head of Intercentr-Lux LLC Anatoly Dzernovich that this year experience has confirmed that Pridnestrovian agricultural producers should not rely on climate favor: the future of agriculture for irrigated land use and development of the reclamation complex. The entrepreneur noted that the Slobodzeya fields are located in the steppe zone, which is located 130 meters above the level of, for example, the capital of Pridnestrovie. Here the winds are constant and much more modest precipitation than in other areas of the republic. Therefore, the issue of land reclamation is especially acute. Agricultural producers are ready to develop an irrigation system, but the snag is in the state of the head pumping station, built back in the 60s of the last century and can not cope with the load. 15 million rubles must be invested for the full operation of this central node of the water supply system for the land. As a result, the area of irrigated land will increase by 6-8 thousand hectares, which will seriously develop local agriculture, said the Head of the Slobodzeya administration Vasily Tishchenko. Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed the Government to work on this issue, making it a priority.
Lending was discussed. Anatoly Dzernovich expressed gratitude to the leadership of the country for the availability of credit resources, emphasizing that this is “working money”. The only thing the agrarians are asking for is to extend the payment deadline as much as possible, since land users who have almost completely lost their harvest are not enough two years to recover. This issue will be included in the agenda of one of the next meetings under the President.
The agricultural enterprise EuroRostAgro located in the village of Sukleya was able to minimize its dependence on the vagaries of nature and the risks of crop loss, optimize investments and increase the efficiency of land use thanks to organization of irrigation system. The President, who arrived to inspect the local gardens, was told that the agricultural company cultivating these lands occupied its sector in the Pridnestrovian agricultural sector 12 years ago. To date, about thirty people work on an ongoing basis. The number of employees exceeds one hundred during the harvest period. Students who want to earn extra money during summer holidays are actively involved. Fruits, berries, cereals and industrial crops are grown. They plan to occupy 9 hectares with peach plantings of the so-called flat varieties next year, in addition to the familiar apple, plum, nectarine, cherry and apricot orchards. They gathered 200 tons of strawberry. It is planned to increase volumes by expanding strawberry areas to 12 hectares. Farmers are counting on soft loans. The funds will be used for purchase of a watering machine, greater coverage of land with irrigation and, possibly, a further increase in the area of gardens - from 70 to 150 hectares, said the director of the agricultural company Yuri Diutsa. As for the current development: a modern refrigeration complex is being constructed for post-harvest processing and storage of 1600 tons of products. The next stage is the equipment for sorting and packaging lines. Their presence will allow the delivery of high-quality fruit and berry products not only in the harvest season, but also in the winter-spring period. The total project cost is $ 1.2 million. Two-thirds of the amount is borrowed funds received from the State Reserve Fund. Yuri Diutsa noted that concessional lending in recent years is a serious help in the development of agribusiness. The entrepreneur emphasized that if earlier the main task was to give interest for the loan, now we are talking about the real fruitful work of finance.
The President asked about sales markets and product demand. According to the landowner from Sukleya, it is demand that should be the basic component of a business project. Following this strategic principle, EuroRostAgro does not face sales problems. That is why the organization is gradually expanding and developing new directions.
The President, praising the achievements of the agricultural enterprise and noting the desire to solve problems, rather than discussing them, wished the farmers success and further development, promising to visit the new refrigeration complex as soon as possible.
