Cristina Lesnic against the pandemic prevention in Pridnestrovie

The political representative of Moldova opposed the establishment of COVID-19 testing laboratory in the PMR

The political representative of Moldova again generates inhuman ideas. Yesterday, she opposed the establishment of a coronavirus testing laboratory in Pridnestrovie. What is this - excessive cynicism or an attempt to organize genocide in the republic?

In the great anniversary of the Victory over Fascism, the world faced a terrible threat once again. The new coronavirus rapidly spreads over the planet. The number of cases has exceeded a million, and this seems to be far from the limit.

In this new unique reality, all states show their real face. Somewhere, for example in the European Union, national selfishness prevailed, and everyone was left alone with these problems. Other countries, even in the current situation, continue to stick to the principles of mutual support. For example, Russia not only helps poor Italy but also sends humanitarian cargo to the United States, its main geopolitical rival. And this is absolutely right - there is no place for past differences at such a terrible time when the lives of millions of people are at stake.

Chisinau also showed his true face at the height of the pandemic.

Let's just say it's not much different from what we've seen in the last 30 years - except it seems even uglier now. Of course, there was a timid hope that the unprecedented threat neither Pridnestrovie nor Moldova met during the period of independence, at least for a time will force the Moldovan authorities to forget about "reintegration" ambitions. But when you for decades have been talking to the Pridnestrovian neighbour in the language of blackmail, threats, pressure and blockades, it seems very difficult to stop.

Now official Chisinau, instead of working together to fight the epidemic, solves its exclusively political tasks. The fact that in the RM nobody hide this adds special cynicism to the situation. The Moldovan political representative honestly admitted that the closure of checkpoints on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian border (which led to numerous cases of delays in the cargo of the PMR, including with medicines) is a ''part of the reintegration process.'"

Well, Chisinau is trying to get hands on the Pridnestrovian import - it is a disgusting action during the crisis, but at least it is understandable: we have seen such attempts for many times. But some things are simply impossible to understand.

For example, Cristina Lesnic opposed the establishment of COVID-19 testing laboratory in the PMR. In her opinion, ''all tests and any other support from outside should pass only through Chisinau.'' ''The fact that Tiraspol expressed a desire to create their own laboratory, we do not approve,'' - Lesnic said.

The position of the political representative of Moldova is beyond good and traditional morality.

The establishment of this laboratory is an absolutely humanitarian issue in which it is difficult to see any political motives if desired. And it did not appear in vain. There have already been some incidents when Moldovan doctors physically have no time to carry out tests of all samples from Pridnestrovie and postponed them for later. Taking into account that the epidemic in Moldova is extended intensively, there will be more such cases. Is it worth explaining that every minute can cost human life?

Therefore, it is not surprising that the leadership of Pridnestrovie set the task of organizing its testing laboratory. But why does Moldova resist it? What is it: manic hatred of Pridnestrovians or already pathological anti-humanity of Moldovan authorities towards the eastern neighbour? Does Cristina Lesnic not understand that by preventing the testing of citizens of Pridnestrovie for coronavirus, she provokes the explosive spread of the infection? Especially taking into account that a large percentage of the population of Pridnestrovie are elderly people who are at special risk. Or is the new genocide of the PMR’s  inhabitants the main goal of the RM’s authorities? Probably, according to the plan of Chisinau strategists, it will be easier to get hands on a weakened, much less populated republic.

Moldovan part claims there are about at least three hundred thousand citizens of Moldova in Pridnestrovie. Mrs Lesnic, what about them? It is clear that you do not care about the fate of people with Russian and Ukrainian passports, because they are clearly ''undesirable elements'' in the ''united Moldova.'' But should not you take care of your (to your opinion) own residents? Or are they not quite ''own'' at the time of the pandemic? Although it is likely that you have once considered them not seriously as "real" Moldovan citizens but as a tool in the achievement of the political goals.

So maybe then it is time to drop the act called ''reintegration'' and stop hypocritically appealing to the fate of ''your citizens'' in Pridnestrovie? There have never been ''yours'' citizens there.
