Tiraspol, March 13. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From March 16 during the quarantine, the Pridnestrovian State University is going to try distance learning. All students will study remotely and the staff will continue to work at the University.
At the extraordinary meeting of the deans, directors of institutes and branches of the University, the heads of the structural subdivisions got the task to develop the regulations and procedure of organizing, conducting and fixing educational classes with students. Classes will be conducted according to the established schedule but in the remote form.
''For example, teachers could send lectures and questions by e-mail. Students could answer questions online. The practical tasks also should be sent in accordance with the requirements of practical classes. Perhaps some teachers could try to make online lectures,'' Vice-Chancellor for Education Policy and Management Quality Larisa Skitskaya said.
This form of work is new for the University, as previously there were no such emergency situations. Probably there may be some changes. But the Vice-Chancellor noded the system would be worked out by next Wednesday.
Home study students who have the session in March will also practice the distance study in order not to disrupt the educational process. The tests and exams will take place in the same mode. Each faculty, institute or branch will determine its own form of control.
''Today, at an extraordinary meeting, managers got the task to develop the procedures and regulations. According to the order of the rector, our colleagues should work out the whole mechanism tomorrow, inform students and teachers,'' Skitskaya said.
