Tiraspol, February 25. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Lithuanian city of Alytus hosted Open Swimming Championship of Lithuania. The press service of PMR State Service for Sports reports that the competition was attended by 360 athletes, representing 22 sports clubs and national teams from four countries.
Trainee of the Tiraspol Sports School, International Master of Sports Tatyana Salkutsan competed in the championship. She was the strongest and won two gold medals in her favorite distances - 100 and 200-meter backstroke.
In so doing, the results shown (1.03.09 at a distance of 100 meters and 2.14.37 at a distance of 200 meters) meant reaching the qualifying standard, which gives the Pridnestrovian athlete the right to compete in the European Swimming Championships in Budapest in May.
Recall that back in 2019, Tatyana Salkutsan won a quota for participation in the XXXII Olympic Games, so she will compete in the Olympic swimming pool in Tokyo this summer.
