Tiraspol, February 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today at the Palace of the Republic, there was held the XXIII ceremony to honor the winners of the republican art and journalistic contest Person of the Year 2019. The best of the best in various areas of the republic`s life, representatives of public organizations, unions, movements, 20 people in total, received deserved awards.
It should be noted that the number of nominations for the contest has increased: one more nomination has been added to the past 19 - “For Contribution to the Historical Memory Restoration.”
The ceremony was attended by heads of state authorities, Deputies, public figures, as well as labor veterans and homefront workers.
The awarding ceremony for the distinguished Pridnestrovians was preceded by the performance of the pupils of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School.
After that, the award ceremony began. Medals, statuettes and diplomas were awarded to the winners by the heads of relevant ministries and departments. The winners of State Awards are:
“Honor and Gallantry” - Pavel Mikhailov, Deputy Minister of Defense of the PMR for Peacekeeping Forces;
“Law and Duty” - Head of the Directorate-General of the PMR Ministry of Defense Andrey Sprinchan;
“Law and Order” - district police inspector of the department of district police inspectors of the Tiraspol police department Vladislav Makovei;
"Master Workman" - Yuri Verlan, driver of the 6th grade land leveller, State Unitary Enterprise Dubossary Road Maintenance Section;
“Labor Valour” - the head fashion artist of LLC TPF “Intercenter Lux” Ella Yakubenko;
“The Best Road Transport Worker” - Stanislav Sazonov, driver of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Spetsavtokhozyaystvo, Tiraspol;
“Man of the Year in the Field of Veterinary Medicine” - Olga Skorobogatko, Chief Veterinarian of Bendery;
"Man of His Land" - the founder of LLC Agro Compact (Grigoriopol District) Stepan Platsynda;
"Public Figure" - director, screenwriter, documentary announcer Natalya Golub;
“Entrepreneur of the Year” - Director of LLC Eurodesign Roman Mikhailov;
“Achievements in Sports” - Maxim Kazaku, sports instructor at the State Institution Republican Center for Olympic Training;
“Journalist of the Year" - TSV correspondent Denis Martynenko;
“Philanthropist of the Year” - the founder of LLC Okay-service Tatyana Gevlich;
“Mercy” - Director of the Municipal Educational Establishment DO Sports School in Swimming, Elena Zaitseva;
“Medical Worker of the Year” - Vera Vasilyeva, Director of the Medin Medical Center;
“Teacher of the Year” - physics teacher of the Bendery Theoretical Lyceum, Alina Ivanishko;
“Talent and Recognition” - Irina Godoba, head of the Model Dance Group Rhythmic Dance, Slobodzeya;
“Young Discovery of the Year” - Alexey Galynin, physical education teacher at the Bendery Theoretical Lyceum;
“Volunteer of the Year” - cadet of the 1st training platoon of the 4th year of SEI Tiraspol Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR named after M. I. Kutuzov, Artemy Temerov;
“For Contribution to the Historical Memory Restoration” - Igor Buga, Chairman of the Republican public organization Youth and Patriotic Movement Heirs of Victory.
Addressing the winners, Deputy Prime Minister of the PMR on legal regulation and interaction with public authorities Stanislav Kasap emphasized that Pridnestrovie had something to be proud of.
“First of all, it is our people - talented and hardworking, which is a reliable basis for the effective development of our republic,” he said.
Speaking about the laureates` hard work, their unconventional approach and modern techniques used to increase work efficiency, the Deputy Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that last year, there took place the most important changes in the life of the country.
Stanislav Kasap recalled: “2019 was a year of positive transformations and changes for the better. Kindergartens and schools, hospitals and correctional institutions were repaired, our cities and villages look different. There is a noticeable progress in various areas: economics, healthcare, culture, education and social policy. And all this became possible thanks to all of you who stands on the stage today.”
