Tiraspol, February 6./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In 2019, migration growth was recorded in the republic for the first time in many years. Taking into account internal and external migration it amounted to 3,263 people. Such data are provided by the State Statistics Service.
Migration growth was last recorded in the early 1990s. For example, as early as 2018 there was 1,213 people migration decline.
As noted in the review of the Socio-Economic Development of the PMR, almost 8 thousand people arrived in Pridnestrovie from abroad in 2019. Most of them (6,214 people) arrived in cities. 1,687 people arrived in villages.
During the same period 4,616 people left the republic: 3,878 from cities, 738 people from villages.
