Tiraspol, December 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At the Government meeting, there were considered amendments to the Law “On Payments for Environmental Pollution and the Use of Natural Resources”.
According to the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Efimy Koval, who represented this legislative initiative, the bill is aimed at simplifying the procedure for calculating environmental payments.
Enterprises will have the opportunity to switch to quarterly advance payment of environmental fees (except for the last three months). At the same time, business entities can remain on the current system (making calculations quarterly).
“Such calculations will be provided once a year. And payment will be quarterly based on last year’s data. 3 months - advance payment, and final payment at the end of the year. For non-profit organizations with simple calculations, they will be held quarterly,” Efimy Koval said.
Prime Minister Alexander Martynov noted that if earlier at meetings with the business community the problems of tax burden, tariffs, access to loans have been raised, now the environmental issue was one of the first on the agenda.
“Despite the fact that another step in simplifying the environmental calculation has been taken, nevertheless this issue is far from a final solution. Next year there is a roadmap defining how to move towards closing this issue completely. I very much hope that this will succeed next year,” the head of Government added.
