Tiraspol, December 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, the results of the third year of the project Buy Pridnestrovian! In 2019 were summed in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Pridnestrovie. Eight exhibition fairs, the Berry Festival and the Wine and Grape Festival were organized in 2019. In addition, round tables were held under the title Trade Dialogues, business trainings for retail workers, a contest of drawings and paintings, marketing research.
Survey Results
During exhibitions and fairs in all cities of the republic, a survey of visitors was conducted. As a result, more than 70% of respondents said that they preferred domestic goods to import ones. But, according to project manager Victoria Sedova, this is the opinion of those people who purposefully came to buy something from the products of Pridnestrovian manufacturers.
Another social research was a random sample of respondents. A survey was conducted in all cities, as well as in some rural settlements. It was attended by 387 Pridnestrovians over the age of 18 years. The study showed that approximately 70% of respondents knew about the Buy Pridnestrovian! project. By the way, women were the most well-informed audience.
More than half of the respondents said that when buying domestic products, they thereby worked for the general welfare. Such is the overarching idea of the project: the acquisition of domestic goods - the development of enterprises - the creation of new jobs - an increase in the tax base.
As for Pridnestrovian goods recognition, it has grown compared to 2017 in almost all positions. The only exceptions are vegetables and fruits. The most recognizable Pridnestrovian brand is Tirotex.
Made in Pridnestrovie
Particular attention in the project is paid to its branding. For the first time this year, in more than 300 retail outlets, including large chains, there were labels appeared with the campaign logo and the inscriptions Buy Pridnestrovian!, Made in Pridnestrovie and Specialty of 2019.
On this occasion, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yuri Ganin noted that, unfortunately, the PMR could not export goods labeled Made in Pridnestrovie in different languages. But the way out of the situation might be to put the project logo on company packaging. “The red-green flower should not cause any complaints,” the head of the CCI said.
For foreigners, including potential investors, it is planned to create special tourist tours with the same title Buy Pridnestrovian! The launch of the multilingual Internet portal Made in Pridnestrovie is also planned. There, they want to organize electronic trading of Pridnestrovian goods.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that that year, bloggers have launched a subproject "How It's Made" on the Internet. These are video tours of enterprises with a detailed demonstration of the technological process. So far, representatives of the blogosphere have visited about two dozen Pridnestrovian industries.
Project Results in Numbers and Plans for the Future
This year, the number of enterprises participating in trade fairs increased by 11. On average, there were 58 manufacturers participated in one exhibition. The largest in terms of the participants` number was Tiraspol – there were 79 enterprises.
The average check for one purchase was 182 rubles.
Congratulating everyone who was somehow involved in the project on the upcoming New Year, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Natalya Sitkina wished both an increase in the number of participants and an increase in the average check.
Next year, there is planned the same number of exhibitions and festivals. Work with representatives of trade enterprises will continue, while a methodology developed this year for accounting for filling the domestic market with domestic goods will begin to be introduced.
The main idea for next year, according to Yuri Ganin, should be that Buy Pridnestrovian! became a nationwide project that brought together producers, sellers and consumers of goods. “That is, all Pridnestrovians,” the head of the CCI concluded.
